Repair bushfire damage to powerlines Summer 2019
In early 2019, bushfires in remote Western Australia burned through hundreds of thousands of hectares and saw volunteers and professional firefighters from across the State, as well as the army, step in.
Fletcher Electrical Contracting were called out to Mount Keith, Shire of Wiluna where we replaced 9 poles, one three way strain, one angle strain, angle intermediates and intermediates. We took care of multiple conductor breaks and damage repairs including twelve intermediate arms which were snapped when conductors failed.
We quickly had 4 people on the ground in stifling 43 degree heat with spot fires still burning around us. The work was completed in 4 days. Sites were cleaned up with all waste materials transported safely to the appropriate waste facility.
